Here at Haymaker Coffee Co., we're all about community, art, and bringing people together. That's why we're so happy to share our support for an exciting new public art project at the Riverside Arts Market (RAM) – a vibrant mural set to transform the riverfront!

We truly believe in RAM's magic, providing an incredible space for small businesses, farmers, and local artists with free entertainment each week. We're hyped about this beautiful new mural, driven by our partners at Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP). Haymaker Coffee Co. is making a special donation to help bring it to life.

A New Artistic Anchor for Jacksonville

Get ready for a stunning mural on the St. Johns River-facing side of RAM! It's designed to capture the lively spirit of our Jacksonville community, creating an iconic piece right where the action happens.

Once complete, this mural will be the perfect, eye-catching backdrop for all public events, elevating the RAM experience for 5,000+ weekly shoppers grabbing local produce, enjoying entertainment, and supporting Jax-based artists.

Beyond RAM, it'll also set the scene for the City of Jacksonville's free events we all love – from yoga to movie nights. We believe this mural will become a cherished landmark, adding new beauty and energy to our beloved riverfront.

What drew you to Hire Heroes USA?

At Haymaker Coffee, we deeply respect and admire the commitment and sacrifice of service members and veterans who have bravely served our country. They have made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. It's truly inspiring to witness their unwavering dedication to the nation, and we are grateful for their service.

That's why we've partnered with Hire Heroes USA, an amazing organization that's committed to empowering and providing resources to those who have served. We believe that our mission to help people pursue their American Dream after their service aligns perfectly with Hire Heroes USA's mission.

We're honored to be on this journey with them, working tirelessly to support and empower military personnel and their families. We hope that our partnership will inspire others to recognize the bravery and selflessness of those who serve and take action to support them in their pursuit of a better future.

Why do you care about supporting the military community, specifically regarding career transition?

At the heart of our mission is a deep desire to empower people. The mission of Hire Heroes USA aligns with our mission, which HHUSA helps the military community to realize their full potential. We recognize that this often requires stepping outside of their comfort zone and pursuing a new path that may be unfamiliar.

But we firmly believe that a stable and fulfilling career can provide the foundation for financial security, strength at home, and a seamless transition to civilian life. These are not just basic needs, but essential elements for a happy and fulfilling life.

We are inspired by the resilience, bravery, and unwavering commitment of our military community. It is our honor to support and empower them on their journey towards success and happiness. We firmly believe that with the right opportunities and resources, every member of the military community can achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. Together, we can create a brighter future for those who have given so much to our country.

As an advocate of the military community, what have you done to pay it forward?

Although we may be a relatively young company, we're passionate about serving those who have served our country. We believe that even small actions can have a huge impact, and we're proud of the steps we've taken to make a positive difference in the lives of military personnel and their families.

Partnering with Hire Heroes USA has allowed us to take our commitment to the next level. We're all about empowering and supporting the military community in their pursuit of fulfilling careers and stable lives. Whether it's volunteering our time to mentor, donating coffee and funds to non-profits, or exploring new avenues for involvement, we're always looking for ways to do more.

Honestly, we're constantly inspired by the resilience and dedication of the military community. They've given so much to our country, and we believe they deserve nothing but the best opportunities and resources to help them thrive. You are not only an advocate, but you volunteer your time at Hire Heroes USA. As an entrepreneur, you have very little time. Tell me why you volunteer with us.

Sometimes it feels like we're juggling a million things at once, right? Between a full-time job, starting a new business, being a husband and father, it can be a real uphill battle.

But you know what's crazy? Our service men and women never let the challenges they face deter them from their commitment to duty and country. Their dedication and selflessness is truly inspiring.

That's why I feel so honored to be able to do my part and support those who have sacrificed so much for our nation. It's not always easy, and we may face obstacles along the way. But I truly believe that with the same grit and determination displayed by our military community, we can overcome any challenge and make a lasting impact.

Together, we can create a brighter future for those who have served our country. And I'm proud to be a part of that effort.

Haymaker Coffee Co. Announces Partnership with Hire Heroes USA & Develops Sales Promotion to Benefit Veterans and Military Spouses

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Haymaker Coffee Co. has announced a significant commitment to support veterans, service members and military spouses seeking civilian employment through a new collaboration with veterans national nonprofit Hire Heroes USA. Their partnership is based on a shared mission of empowering veterans and military spouses in finding success after service.

To celebrate this joint effort, Haymaker Coffee Co. has committed to volunteering their time to provide career advice, discuss past and current work experience, and guide veterans along their journey to obtaining the American Dream.

Furthermore, online customers will have the option to round up their purchase total as part of Haymaker Coffee Co.’s donation initiative. There will be discounts available for all veterans in the Hire Heroes USA program and Haymaker plans to fill upcoming job opportunities with veterans.

Expanding our tastebuds to more than just coffee, we had the opportunity to partner with our local friends Ruby Beach Brewing Company. We were able to create a unique brew by combining their big imperial stout and our cold brew. Ruby Beach chose to use a blend of Haymaker's dark roast and bourbon barrel-aged coffees. We started by using the perfect coffee to water ratio to make our cold brew (click here to check out our step-by-step guide) which was then used to infuse the imperial stout. This resulted in a combination of big chocolate flavors from the stout and our signature bold yet smooth flavors of our coffee for the perfect end-of-the-day drink.

Just like us, Ruby Beach Brewing Company is passionate about supporting local businesses. With goals of reaching all beer drinkers and coffee lovers, we continue to create drinks for the discerning coffee and beer connoisseurs.

Our launch event took place at Ruby Beach's downtown brewery with friends and supporters. Laughs and conversations filled the air as new connections to both coffee and beers were made. Customers, as well as staff, loved the outcome of the collaboration as it was something they had never tasted before. The response could not have been better, and we hope it keeps getting enjoyed by the Jacksonville community!

Haymaker is donating 1,000 bags of coffee to Jacksonville area teachers.

Haymaker Coffee Co. knows that teachers are an essential part of every community. They get up early, work hard, and help shape the minds of young Americans. Our Haymaker team is honored to partner with Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) this year. We’ll be donating 1,000 bags of our specialty-grade Haymaker Coffee to DCPS teachers to help give them the fuel they need to keep inspiring Jacksonville students.

Fueling 8,000 Teachers Every Day

Duval County Public Schools is the sixth largest school district in Florida and the 21st largest in the United States. DCPS supports 8,200+ teachers at 196 schools and serves around 130,000 students.

We’re excited to be a part of each one of their teacher’s journey this school year and hope that our small contribution can empower them to achieve their dreams – and inspire the same drive in their students.

Born in Woodbridge, Virginia, Brandon’s dream of being a NASCAR driver started early – he began racing competitively when he was a scrappy 10-year-old. For four years he hustled hard and worked his butt off, climbing the ranks as he went. Soon he was able to reap the rewards and made his first NASCAR appearance in 2014. Now, Brandon gets to live his dream every day and loves encouraging others to race after theirs.

Making Hay All Weekend Long

You can’t make hay without a little hustle. This past weekend our team did double duty at two amazing events. We were thrilled to meet our customers face-to-face and introduce new ones to the heavy-hitting power of our coffee roasts.

Caffeine and Octane

Haymaker was revved up to be a key sponsor for Caffeine and Octane in Jacksonville, Florida, the monthly event for car lovers of all makes and models. At the event, our team gave out free hot and cold brew coffee samples to our fans old and new. We enjoyed all the support from everyone and look forward to attending again next month. Hopefully the rain will hold off again!

2021 Summer Seoul Festival

This weekend we channeled our inner K-Pop fandom as we headed out to Pearland, Texas, for the 2021 Summer Seoul Festival. There, we shared a booth with our friends at Eve Pink, a K-Pop and stationary store. During the event, we gave out free samples of Haymaker coffee and had bags available for purchase.
