The Coffee

  • Our whole bean dark roast (The Heavyweight) has oils on the surface of the bean similar to other dark roasts, but can be left out for a few days to dry out. Or, feel free to try our ground bean dark roast to avoid the oils on the surface. The whole bean medium roast (The Middleweight) has very little if any oil on the surface. We know some customers may have concerns about oil impacting their coffee machines. When taking these items into consideration, we haven’t experienced any issues with oil in our machines.

  • Haymaker dark roast caffeine content was tested by an independent laboratory and ranks among the leading brands of coffee in terms of caffeine content. It was also tested to have a low acidity/pH.

  • All of the green coffee we use is “current crop,” which means that it was harvested from the current crop year in their respective country of origin. After being harvested, our coffee is shipped to the U.S. where it is proudly roasted in New Orleans, Louisiana. All of the coffee beans we get are roasted within the first six months after arrival to the Port of New Orleans and we use a FIFO (first in first out) policy to ensure freshness.

  • Coffee can last a very long time when stored correctly. Our specialty-grade coffee (the best of the best) maintains its freshness for up to 12 months from the date of roasting if properly sealed. Once the package has been opened, make sure to keep your coffee in an airtight container to preserve the flavor and aroma.

  • No. In order to ensure freshness is sealed in properly, we do not use recyclable paper-only coffee bags to ensure freshness is sealed In.

  • Right now, none of our coffee products are free trade or organic. While we don’t have official credentials for being vegan or gluten-free, our original coffee products only contain coffee beans. Note: our alcohol-roasted beans may contain hints of gluten.

  • You can brew Haymaker any way you like. However, we’ve been told it tastes especially great using the pour-over or cold brew method, but a regular drip coffee maker works great, too!

Shipping

  • Once your order has shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number inside. Use that number to track via UPS.

  • If your package hasn’t arrived within 3-5 days, please reach out to our team. Due to the global pandemic many shipping companies are experiencing delays. Please check your tracking link before reaching out.

  • Right now you can qualify for free shipping if you spend $40 or more. For all other orders we offer flat rate shipping.

  • At the moment, we ship to street addresses only (sorry no P.O. Boxes) within the 48 Contiguous United States. Sorry, we do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Mexico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Military APO/FPO addresses. We hope to start soon! See our full shipping policy here.

  • Using our network of warehouses, we cover 100% of the continental USA with shipping times within 1-3 business days. Please use our delivery date estimator tool to estimate when you will receive your package.

  • Unfortunately, once an order has been placed it cannot be changed. Please reach out to our team if you have any problems.

Returns & Refunds

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns of perishable bags of coffee that have been previously opened – but your complete satisfaction is our top priority, so we will make it right! Just let us know what happened. Also, if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase of apparel or merchandise, please let us know within 30 days of purchase for consideration of a full refund.
